Taking on the UK weather with Nobis

March 28, 2018

We're 5 days until Easter Sunday which means the end of lent which means for us it's the end of giving up caffeine, no idea how we've lived our hectic lifestyles without caffeine but we've done it.

We like to dress well on all occasions, as dressing well makes us more confident and more outgoing, look good, feel good and your confidence sky rockets. Now, looking good does sometimes come at a price, perhaps when the weather is pretty cold and you want to wear that thin leather jacket over your warm parka, and the minute you step out the door you instantly regret your outfit choice but instead of turning back you embrace the cold knowing your OOTD is on point! This has happened a fair few times this year for us, especially as this British weather has been so unpredictable. I won't lie we tend to dress to look good instead of being warm hence why i probably have a cold whilst writing this (don't be like me).

It certainly helps to have items in your wardrobe that instantly make you feel like a power house, those effortless items that require no effort to wear because they are the statement piece and work on their own and that's exactly where are Nobis Inc Parka jackets come into play.

We both tested out each jacket, Will went for the navy blue 'Higgins' style jacket which can be worn with anything either smart or super casual. The fit is great and it is super warm for the early cold mornings. The inside detailing is loaded with pockets, a fur zipped hood and is super comfortable. Will paired the coat with dark wash 'Topman' jeans, long sleeve muscle fit grey tee from 'Zara' and a pair of big bold beige winter boots, also from 'Zara'.

Henry went for the Nobis Army Rosco jacket which again was built for the cold weather, with a long parka feel, plenty of pockets and a magnetic seal alongside the zip which was a lot easier to do up than buttons, why don't more jackets take on this idea I don't know. Henry paired the jacket up with all black skinny 'Asos' Jeans, a zip up turtle neck from 'H&M' and some smart all black Chelsea boots from 'Guess'.

Over the past few weeks I think we can all agree that the weather in London has been very unpredictable, one minute we have sun and thinking we're set for Spring then out of nowhere the temperature plummets and it's suddenly snowing, hailing or raining.

With these unpredictable conditions we have teamed up with Nobis to showcase their winter jackets and give them a test run through these ridiculous British weather conditions. We found them extremely durable, incredibly warm and very comfortable. The first day we styled the jackets the British weather was at its worst, The Beast from the East was incoming and the winds were extremely strong, little did that matter to us, as these jackets literally block out all types of bad weather  and keep you incredibly warm and dry.

Now these jackets may seem a bit pricey at first glance, however, remember what you're paying for, long lasting high quality material that will last you years to come, not some cheap materials that will get ruined within a few wears and not keep you warm when the weather is at it's worst.
