With winter upon us the cold weather has officially hit London. As much as we love wearing light jackets it is really important to find a good quality thicker jacket that keeps you feeling toasty warm too. Finding the correct winter jacket is essential to enjoying Christmas and all the activities that come with it such as the long country walks and all the shopping! Us gents can be spoilt for choice when searching for the perfect winter jacket, there are so many brands, designs, colours, cuts and styles it can be hard to find a versatile jacket which can be worn smart or casual and do a good job at keeping you warm.
We both have a range of different jackets but we both needed a winter coat which was going to keep us warm whilst out on the move. We wanted something bold with good quality yet affordable too. Whilst searching the internet we came across these two bomber jackets both exactly what we were looking for.
The red Tommy Hilfiger Durable Polyester Technical Bomber is only £190, it's light weight but extremely warm with a stand-up collar with an optional hood and faux fur trimmed hood, the cuffs are also elasticated rib-knit with a long sleeve covering them. We bought size L, 6ft 3, fairly broad shoulders and fits like a glove. As it is fairly thick we would not tend to wear big jumper underneath.
The Diesel W-Galt Bomber Winter Jacket is only £220, it's a cotton and nylon blend with ribbed trimming on the cuffs and hem. It features a cosy fleece-lined and fur trimmed hood which is perfect for protection against the weather. We bought size M, 6ft 3, fairly broad shoulders and fits like a glove. As it is fairly thick we would not tend to wear a big jumper underneath.
The Bomber/Flight Jacket was originally created for military pilots and was adopted by the punk movement during the late 70s and early 80s. Today the flight jacket is a high fashion piece and an iconic look. A winter bomber should be in every gentleman's wardrobe!
Tommy Hilfiger and Diesel are two brands we have grown up with, both changing over the years. Only recently we have started to add their pieces to our wardrobe. Both brands offering affordable luxury goods for the everyday man. Whether it's for streetwear or smart both brands offer contemporary and fresh looks to revamp your wardrobe.
A few of our favourite bits from the brands and their AW17 collection
We both love the AW17 collection, we used to only think of Diesel for Denim with the signature logo on the pocket but the last few years they've done an amazing job at creating a damn good collection.

A brand we both used to think was a little 'chavvy'. How times have now changed and we love every piece from their AW17 collection. If we could own every item of their collection then we would (hint hint TH send us some pieces please) ;).
